Second Ketoversary

It's been a while since I've had a new blog post.  Life has gotten busy and stressful lately.  This is likely one reason my weight has been stalled for the last several months.  I have been working out regularly, so hopefully I'm changing my body composition, but I haven't had a Dexa Scan since Fasting February

But I thought I should write this post because I recently had my two year Ketoversary.  I can say that I no longer think of this lifestyle as restrictive.  It's just the way I live.  There are plenty of awesome foods I get to eat and I definitely feel better than I have for at least two decades.

I am truly thankful for the difference in my health since I started keto.  I'm also thankful for all of those in the keto community who are so generous with sharing their information and time.  Having a multitude of keto podcasts has been invaluable for me.

I think working the Minnesota Ketonians meetings also helps to keep me motivated.  We have some wonderful members of that group and more people are joining and attending our meetups.  Hearing everyone's story of how keto has positively impacted their lives is very inspiring.

After we get through the holidays I plan on doing some experimentation that I will share here, but my posts may be few and far between until then.

But remember Keto does work, particularly at helping to regulate your insulin.  Keep calm and keto on!

Until my next blog post appears, you can read my last post about non-scale victories.

  1. Congratulations John. This is fantastic. I didn't actually know how long it it been for you. I just celebrated my 5-year. Hard for me to believe that too. I absolutely don't feel restricted on the ketogenic diet. This carnivore experiment we're doing? That's a whole different story. LOL
